Hello Everyone! Let start off by saying that I am intimately familiar with both Word and Google Docs both recreationally and in the space of academia. The former was primarily used for final drafts of work along with personal projects, where as the latter was where group projects and rough (sometimes extremely rough) drafts found themselves developing in. This linking between my technological proficiency with my educational development has meant that I can easily manage myself around a word document.

I believe that the most important standard of the ISTE for an educator to develop is that of the facilitator. My reasoning for this is simple, for an educator to be effective they must eventually bring their students to the point where they are no longer necessary. I think by giving the students the necessary tools to teach themselves a teacher can most successfully accomplish the goal of their own obsolescence. Also I think that because of the fact that his develops the skills necessary for students to use technology later in life.

I would have to personally say that I find the term "digital native" to be a bit unnecessary for analysis of education and even sociology. My logic for this dismissal lies in the fact that I think it is simply a fancy way of talking about the phenomenon of younger people being more adapted to new technologies, something that is apparent at every generation and every development. If we are to see digital developments as something unique then I believe we would be swamped by continuous naming of "(insert development here) generation" with many such delineations being extremely permeable.  So I would have to say that, all in all, I find the term unnecessary.
