Copyright refers to the legal concept of, very simply, the right of an individual or organization to make copies of a particular product or work. Fair use relates to this by being the parameters for which legal entities that do not posses the copyright to work may use (whether in whole or in part) copies of the work without infringing upon the rights of the copyright holders, which specifically benefits educators by protecting our rights to reproduce content for the purpose of education. Thus by using the legal defense of credited reproduction for education, a teacher can use the wide range copyrighted works in their field to their advantage. Thus by either working in part or with works in either the public domain or creative commons.

The two biggest problems that educators face when implementing technology into our craft lies in both academic dishonesty and simple student privacy issues. The former is a largely simple issue to solve, and the primary solution that I would seek to implement would be to simply outmaneuver the would be cheaters within my class. This would be done by first be done by analog means of cross referencing the works of my students both past and present, and then using online cross referencing software to ensure that non online sources are being accessed, and then following up on any possible marks of plagiarism. The later is even simpler, as it can be resolved simply by only having the students engage with programs and services that I would trust and use.

The skills that I had developed with the previous newsletter assignment included greater literacy with the word program, the essential "teacher speak" of distributing information, and a greater appreciation of the creative aspects of works. The first came rather easily as it was simply the implementation of skills that I had already understood on the level of abstract theory. The second skill was actually surprising, as I found myself falling into the same sort of deliberate writing style that I had seen many times in the syllabuses of the classes that I have taken part in. Finally I found myself developing a greater appreciation of artistic or simply aesthetic sensibilities in education, which if I am being completely honest is the factor that I wish to improve the most.
